Barry Kolom, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Doctor Barry Kolom is a graduate of UCLA and received his Doctor of Optometry, magna cum laude, from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO). Following graduation, he taught and worked for two years in the post-doctorate program at the Department of Ophthalmology in the Hadassah Hospital-Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel.
He is a prestigious Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and has taught as an Assistant Professor, in clinical optometry and contact lens care, at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) -Optometric Center of LA for over thirty-fivc years.
He is on staff at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and holds membership in the American Optometric and California Optometric Associations as well as a founding and emeritus member of The Optometric Consultants in Contact Lenses.
Dr. Kolom has been called as an Expert Legal Witness in Medical-Optometric malpractice cases. In addition to his independent practice here, he continues to teach and donate time as a volunteer docent at the Simon Wiesenthal-Museum of Tolerance, the Cedars-Sinai Spielberg Clinic and maintains his professional expertise by attending extensive ongoing continuing education programs on a regular basis.
His expertise includes Ophthalmic, Cataract, Laser Surgery and Glaucoma Co-Management, specialty contact lens fittings and has participated in diverse clinical research programs for the FDA and the private sector.
Dr. Kolom continues to provide the above specialties and experienced general eyecare to his established patients and welcomes your kind referrals of family and friends.

Kathy Noteboom
Kathy Noteboom is the office manager and Medical Administrator at the Encino Optometric Center.
She has been an extremely valuable member of the staff in our practice for over 25 years, after starting her career as an optometric assistant in Michigan. Kathy is superbly knowledgeable regarding all aspects of our practice including insurance billing and benefits, practice management, and frame selection. In addition to her role as office manager, and medical billing coordinator, Kathy functions as our clinical research coordinator and handles all logistical aspects related to current research studies and clinical trials. She is also the expert in all non-clinical aspects of our practice.

Elva Molina
Elva Molina has over 15 years of experience in the optical field. Elva has been an integral part of the staff at Encino Optometric Center for nearly a decade. She is the first face you will encounter as you enter the office. Elva will always greet you with a smile and welcome you to our practice. She assists in all aspects of patient care, including reception, ancillary testing, contact lens training, and spectacle fitting. Outside of work, Elva enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and her 7 year old granddaughter.

Monique Cadillo
Monique Cadillo acquired several years of experience in an optometric clinic serving uninsured patients in the San Fernando Valley. Monique assisted in all aspects of patient care, including reception, ancillary testing, spectacle fitting and administrative matters. She worked diligently to acquire the necessary skills to become a valuable optometric technician. Monique devotes her free time to her son.
